Double Glass Display for The Grand Dice Palace
over 5 years ago
– Wed, Sep 11, 2019 at 03:28:18 PM
Greetings,
Just some quick design notes for the Grand Dice Palace:
The Grand Dice Palace shall have a fiber glass lid surface, as well as a fiber glass bottom surface.
The Dice Hive foam no. 1 will be stored inside the lid space facing up towards the lid's fiber glass surface.
The Dice Hive foam no. 2 will be stored inside the body of the case facing down towards the fiber glass surface of the lower body.
There will be no fixed "middle board" between the two Dice Hive inserts. Thus a bit of thinking and skill will be required when inserting each of the (fully loaded) Dice Hive foams in to its allocated space ;)

Greetings,
As titled, here they are :)
Miniature Foam Notes (after testing the prototype foaminsert ):
If anyone are wanting to reinsert the square foam strips (after you have initially taken them out) to form a newly shaped storage cavity, there are 2 things you need to be aware of:
1) Due to the length and softness of the square foam strips, it can be a tricky process reinserting it after initial removal.
2) You'll need to re-apply some glue to one end of the foam strip during reinsertion. (The re-mountable glue isn't really effective due to the micro spores in the foam.)

Greetings,
Here are some fresh from the workshop photos of the Miniature Foam Insert. I will upload some more photos with miniatures inserted in to the foam once I actually get my hands on the prototype foam.
Also a quick shout to Lindorm Dice, big congrats on the huge success of their Norse mythology dice Campaign, those dice are beautiful! And they deserve a nice home too ;) If you haven't checked it out yet, here is a link. But be quick, it will end in about 6 hours!
